EAT – Lunch/Snack is served anytime from noon until happy hour. We have ours after the morning snorkel, at the bar pavilion where we can spread out on these sofa beds, and enjoy the cool ocean breeze…..
Enjoy a coffee table book and a cool cocktail/mocktail…..
Looking out at the pool area…..
We share three sides, Fried Calamari, Shrimp Cocktail, Pork & Shrimp Satay…..
On another day, we had a-la-carte, tuna steak & rice…..
Bouillabaisse in white wine sauce…..
Dessert, Molten Chocolate Cake…..
After every meal, we take a walk around the island, here, someone had a game going…..
There’s this huge piece of drift wood with an interesting shape….
A lonely mini crab stranded on the beach…..
Doing a body lift exercise to burn off the calories…..
Our lunch/snack package includes unlimited alcoholic drinks, but of course, we don’t want to get caught being dead drunk on the beach. I’m a light drinker so I only had an average of two cocktails per meal, that’s quite a feat already!

Looks like paradise..
@KevEats - it does!
Unlimited food for lunch also? What if one get hungry, do you pay extra? Just curious. Lovely place. Perfect for vacation.
You and Chris always show the loveliest shots of food — you make me hungry! I’d need that walk around the island to burn off the calories — maybe twice around!
You guys make me so happy with your food pics and vacation stories.
The food is making me starving… lovely pics as usual.
@KevEats - it does!
@stevew918 - Yes, Steve, it depends on the room package. As for ours, it was all inclusive, which includes all three meals each day, plus in-room minibar and drinks throughout the resort. Good deal!
@XtremePsionic - Thanks for the recommend!
@slmret - I think we did walk a few rounds. lol.
@ElusiveWords - I’m happy to share these too, Matt!
@Got_Takoyaki - Thank you, I’m glad the food porn is working!
haha so good foods. I am looking for foods like those in Vietnam. especially Tuna Curry and Meaty shrimp cocktail.
oh gary i’ll miss your decadent pictures. where will you blog from now on?
Awesome. I hope we are looking at all the lunch dishes of a week, or was this served at one time? *haha* And where are all the other people? It looks like you were the only ones.
I think I’ve died and gone to heaven, haha!
@dinhtrinh - My first time trying tuna curry! Delicious!
@happyobligations - Most likely stick around here as long as I can! lol Please keep me updated on your whereabout too!
@beowulf222 - Haha~Nick, these lunch dishes are all spread over a week! Though a couple of dishes we had tried repeatedly – the nasi goreng, satay and tuna curry. Where are all the other guests? I was wondering too…probably lounging by the pool or beach, while others were snorkeling in the ocean, the rest were inside their rooms doing some pleasurable activities. lol
@making_a_comeback_05 - I wish heaven is like this – turquoise ocean and endless soft sandy beach!
@CurryPuffy - Pleasurable activities like watching TV I hope. Nothing x-rated. *haha*
@CurryPuffy - my wordpress and tumblr are on my page
@CurryPuffy - That’d be a wonderful heaven!
I am gonna miss this Xanga!!
i just love that shot of odd lookin’ drift wood on the beach. by the way, you should file a complaint to the chef. tuna steak doesn’t go well with steamed rice. it goes better with cous-cous or mashed potato. there. my two cents on the matter.
@Xx_DeUce_xX - Me too…But I’ll send you my future contact info later.
@rudyhou - Haha~I know you love potatoes. I should suggest that next time.
@CurryPuffy – pleasurable activities…… Good one, like lots of the couples do at the resorts…… :p
@agmhkg - Oh that’s right. Almost 90% of the guests are couples, I counted only a couple of kids in this place.
@rudyhou - Really? I always thought rice goes with everything.
Food porn at its best! Great shots.
@PPhilip - nope. not everything. especially not for steaks of any kind. rice is plain, and so it needs something far more flavorful than a tuna steak. a sauce or gravy would help. plus, you eat a steak with a fork and knife, while rice requires a fork and spoon. it’s best to enjoy rice with smaller pieces of meat as the main/side dish.
@rudyhou - Interesting you mentioned eating with a fork and spoon, some Filippinos like eating with two ultensils at the same time (pushing food onto a spoon or knife). I like eating rice out of the bowl and tend to shovel rice from the bowl into my mouth and find it ridiculous to try to eat non sticky rice with a fork.
Dryish rice can pick up the juices from steaks, too soggy rice has to be shoveled into the mouth rather than forked. Potato if not mashed will pick up the juices then again the typical bread eater will sop up the juices with their bread.
@PPhilip - yeah, i too prefer to eat rice in a bowl. then again, i almost always use chopsticks, and so i prefer stickier rice which makes it easier. NOT the sticky glutinous rice, though. just the regular steamed short grain rice such as japanese rice.
wow~
