  • Afternoon tea @ The St. Regis - It’s 3pm Friday and we’re sitting at the tea/coffee lounge inside the St. Regis Hotel. The entrance is on 55th Street, once you step inside, it’s a completely different world, away from the hustle and bustle. There’s a harpist that plays in the afternoon, from 3pm to 5 pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

    Now onto the savory sandwiches – (left to right) peppered pastrami with horseradish, cornichons on rye; cured salmon & herbed lemon butter on pumpernickel; roasted chicken with lemon & thyme on sourdough; English cucumber and minted dill cream on brioche; chopped egg and mustard aioli on kalamata…..

    Once we finished the sandwiches, the sweets & scones are brought out in a 3-tiered serving tray…..

    Fresh berries mini-tart on a sablé base and their signature gâteau de voyage. The gâteau is an extra dark chocolate brownie cake with chocolate glaze and vanilla bean buttercream…..
